The Raider 220 Mega Pencil is an extra-large 22cm 127g topwater lure made for anglers targeting monster fish on the surface like Barramundi, PNG Bass, Murray Cod , Arapaima and Kingfish!
This is one seriously impressive lure that's designed to make a big impression on the water!
Use the “walk-the-dog" technique and this lure will cover a wide surface area with an exaggerated zigzag action, which combined with the rattling noise emitting from large internal balls and the lures unmissable size and presence is sure to get the attention of any big nearby predator fish.
These lures are built extra tough to handle the monsters it’ll attract with reinforced thick-walled ABS plastic construction.
The 3 Heavy Duty 4x 2/0 treble hooks are attached to heavy duty wire via 350lb crane swivels which make it almost impossible for the fish to dislodge no matter how much twisting and turning it does during the battle! This feature also protects the lures structural integrity from the damage a more direct hook attachment can cause through leverage and twisting.
A swimbait combo rated to cast at least 100g in spin or baitcast configuration is recommended when using these lures.
Despite the lures imposing size you’ll find it relatively easy to work with basic left right rod action or by varying your retrieval speed.
Once you get into a simple rhythm the lure will start sliding predictably , zig zagging across the waters surface mimicking a fleeing baitfish, add short bursts of speed and the lure will appear to be panicked , the increased water disturbance , noise and commotion hopefully triggering one of those epic surface hits from a monster fish that all us top water anglers live for!
